— A self employed carpenter from Verona is announcing his campaign for the 27th Senate District seat.

Tom Lamberson says he got tired of seeing businesses leave the state because of high taxes and wants to create jobs.

Lamberson says he doesn't have any political experience, but he believes that will work to his advantage. He says he plans to work very hard during the campaign to reach as many potential constituents as possible.

While jobs is his number one campaign issue... term limits is high on his list. He says State Senators should be limited to two, four year terms and Assembly Representatives would serve up to four, two year terms.

Lamberson will face at least one other Republican candidate in a primary election. The winner will take on Jon Erpenbach in November.

The 27th Senate District covers Green County and parts of Rock, Dane, and Lafayette counties.
