— Special weapons and tactical team members from three counties are honing their skills in Janesville this week.

Doug Anderson from Blackhawk Technical College says the training is scheduled for three different locations in the city Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Anderson says the training will be conducted in two residential buildings and a factory. All of the buildings are slated to be torn down as part of Janesville's neighborhood blight elimination program.

Anderson says residents living in the area where the training is taking place will be notified of the activities.

Participating in the training are SWAT team members from the Janesville, Beloit, and Monroe police departments and the Rock, Green, and LaFayette County sheriff's Offices.
