Braves blank Raptors
Klawitter allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out three. Brooks Fredricks pitched the final two innings, yielding three runs on three hits and one walk.
The Raptors (1-1) managed six hits off Farmington pitchers Cole Strobusch and Ryan Seidel. Strobusch went eight innings, allowing five hits, two walks and striking out two. Seidel gave up just one hit.
“Klawitter pitched real well for us. It was a 1-0 game in the sixth,” said Raptors manager Doug Welch. “We didn’t hit the ball very well. Their pitchers didn’t walk many guys, and they didn’t make any errors.”
The Braves (1-1) scored single runs in the first and sixth innings, then took control with three runs in the seventh.
Milton next plays at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Utica against the Madison Senators.
