-- CHRISTOPHER A. HAYES, 42, of 603 S. Main St., Janesville, at 6:53 p.m. Thursday at home on charges of strangulation, two counts of domestic violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, intimidation of a witness, felony intimidation of a victim and battery. According to police reports, Hayes strangled a woman he knew and threatened to hurt her children if they called police.

-- BURGLARY reported at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 1200 block of East Court Street, Janesville. Reported stolen were a video-game system and games valued at $620.


-- BURGLARY reported Tuesday to a home in the 2400 block of N. Sumac Drive, Janesville. Nothing was reported stolen.


-- THEFT reported Wednesday to U-Haul, 1900 E. Milwaukee St., Janesville. Eight truck batteries were reported stolen. The batteries were valued at $100 each.


-- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY reported at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday to an apartment in the 300 block of Dodge Street, Janesville. Reported damaged was a door valued at $100.

-- BYRON C. MOREHART, 23, of 3722 LaMancha Drive, No. 4, Janesville, charge of possession of drug paraphernalia dismissed.
