Beloit Snappers fall with only three hits

— The bats were silent Thursday night for the Beloit Snappers.

Beloit managed only three hits in a 5-1 Midwest League loss to the Clinton LumberKings.


Aaron Hicks had two of Beloit’s three hits and scored the only run in the seventh inning.


Anthony Vasquez picked up the win with eight solid innings, striking out six and allowing one unearned run.


The Snappers begin a three-game series with Burlington tonight at Pohlman Field.
