Frank J. Marsden

Major campaign issue: My major concern is to get the budget and tax rate under control. I am concerned about the rising tax rate.
Wayne Gustina (I)
The Gazette could not reach Gustina for information about his campaign.
Gustina was appointed to the board in June on a 14-13 vote. He and Marsden applied to fill a position formerly held by Marshall Bown, who moved out of the district.

Major campaign issue: Our No. 1 priority should be a proactive, collaborative effort with the business community to make Rock County attractive for business development. I believe my 26-plus years of experience and my community service have given me the understanding and skills to contribute to a positive economic future for Rock County.
James R. Joiner (I)

Public office: Was elected to the Rock County Board in 2006.
Major campaign issue: My major concern has been the residents at Rock Haven. I first ran for the board over my concern for their well being. I have served two terms on the health services committee, which oversees Rock Haven. The board is now considering a design study for a new building, and I support the effort.
