Stonewerth leads honor team

Kim Stonewerth, Whitewater High’s WIAA Division 2 state champion, heads the All-Southern Lakes gymnastics selections.

Stonewerth, a junior, earned her spot on the first team with a conference record-tying score of 9.5 to win the vault competition in the Southern Lakes meet. She won the state title in that event with a 9.433 score.

Waterford senior Kaitlyn Kram has been named the conference Gymnast of the Year. She won the conference title in floor exercise with a 9.6 score and placed third in the Division 1 state meet with a 9.383.

Allison Kassel, a junior in the Burlington/Lake Geneva Badger/Wilmot co-op program, is first-team all-conference on the uneven bars (9.525) and in all-around (36.775). Michelle Dankle, sophomore in that co-op program, completes the first team with a 9.225 on the balance beam.

Burlington/Badger/Big Foot had a 10-0 dual record and won the conference meet with 144.075 points to capture the overall championship with 15 points.
