Rock County workers receive training grant
A National Emergency Grant will move Rock County's dislocated workers from a waiting list for training.
Bob Borremans, director of the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, says the grant is the first of two applications. He says 155 people are included in the application, and Rock County's portion of the grant is $684,000. Borremans says there's a large demand for service, and the grant comes at an opportune time as technical colleges open registration and enrollment for classes.
