Intoxicated driving arrests
-- TIM E. PECK, 29, of 1218 W. Conde St., Apt. 7, Janesville, at 12:40 a.m. Monday at Racine and Fremont streets, Janesville.
-- MISTREATING ANIMALS reported at 6:12 p.m. Saturday, March 20, in the 3600 block of South Tracy Road, Janesville. A woman reported her ex-husband had shot three cats in June 2009. She told police the cats were supposed to be hers in their divorce agreement. She said she waited to report it because of the couple’s pending divorce.
-- THEFT reported at 4:13 p.m. Saturday in the 7500 block of West Butler Road, Janesville. A woman reported that two of her week-old calves were missing.
-- POSSESSION OF HEROIN reported in April 2009 at the Rock County Jail. An inmate reportedly had smuggled heroin into the jail in his rectum and sold it to other inmates.
-- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY reported Saturday in the 2600 block of Harvard Drive, Janesville. Also, the windshield of a moped parked on a patio had been stolen.
-- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, reported Saturday to the former Case Feed building, 922 Rockport Road, Janesville. A lock had been damaged.
-- DRINKING AT SCHOOL, on March 19, a student brought Mountain Dew mixed with vodka to Franklin Middle School, 450 N. Crosby Ave., and shared it with four other students. Suspects were listed as boys and girls, ages 13-15.
-- EMERALD GROVE ROAD AND HIGHWAY 14, Bradford Township, at 10:20 a.m. Friday, March 26, a truck driven by Kirk A. Slagg, 38, of 1523 Starling Lane, Janesville, rolled off the road. Slagg was ticketed for unreasonable and imprudent speed and for a seat-belt violation. Slagg remained in good condition Monday at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
-- GARAGE FIRE, at 12:40 p.m. Saturday at 413 Lincoln St., Janesville. A corner of the garage and a fence were damaged.
Intoxicated driving arrest
-- TYLER J. MEYER, 24, Monticello, at 2:12 a.m. Monday, March 22, in the N4300 block of County E, Decatur Township. Deputies attempted to stop Meyer’s truck for erratic driving on County E at St. John Road, but police say Meyer attempted to evade police and lost control of his truck and struck an embankment. Meyer drove out of the ditch and continued to flee until coming to a stop in a private driveway. Meyer resisted arrest, and police were forced to use a Taser, police say. Meyer was treated for injuries he suffered in the traffic crash at Monroe Clinic Hospital. Meyer was arrested on charges of fourth-offense intoxicated driving, fleeing police, resisting arrest, a Dane County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of third-offense intoxicated driving, operating with a suspended driver’s license, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, unreasonable/imprudent speed, failure to maintain control of motor vehicle, operating left of center and mandatory seatbelt violation.
