BTC president-search panel named

ROCK TOWNSHIP — Twenty-two people have been appointed to a committee that will assist in the search for a new Blackhawk Technical College president.

The committee will narrow a list of applicants and forward four to six names to the BTC board for finalist interviews.

Longtime BTC President Eric Larson retires in June.

The BTC Board on Wednesday named these people to the search committee:

-- David Arndt, a member of BTC’s Blue Ribbon II Committee in 2007. The Blue Ribbon II Vision Project mapped an agenda for BTC for the next eight to 10 years.

-- Heidi Carvin, a BTC Board member and district administrator of the Evansville School District.

-- Sue Cruzan, an avocational student at BTC.

-- Doug Eddy of DM Manufacturing, Beloit.

-- Jeanice Fox, an avocational student.

-- Daniel Fredricks of Dean/Riverview Clinic of Janesville.

-- Richard Gruber a vice president of Mercy Health System, Janesville.

-- Heather Haynes, a BTC student.

-- The Rev. James Ivy, who served on the Blue Ribbon II Committee.

-- Tom Klubertanz of the Rock County Law Enforcement Association and Edgerton police chief.

-- Kevin Leavy of Beloit, BTC Board member.

-- Kent Marsden of the Blackhawk Technical Faculty Federation.

-- Doris Mulder, a vice president at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

-- James Otterstein, economic development director for Rock County.

-- Diane Pillard, dean of UW-Rock County, Janesville.

-- Daryl Rausch of the Blue Ribbon II Committee.

-- Tammy Roehl, BTC Educational Support Professionals representative.

-- Wanda Sloan, BTC diversity/staff development specialist.

-- Ronald Spielman of Monroe Clinic & Hospital.

-- Lauri Steeber, BTC Board member.

-- Thomas Timm of the Blue Ribbon II Committee.

-- Tom Westrick, BTC Board member.
