Police investigate shots fired at Janesville rental unit
JANESVILLE Police continue to investigate a shooting at a rental unit in the 1100 block of West Wall Street at 3 a.m. Sunday.
Investigation showed that seven shots had been fired at the house, said Janesville Police Detective Mark Johnson.
The bullets were fired from a small-caliber handgun. Several bullets penetrated the walls of the rental unit, and shell casings were found outside. Bullets were retrieved from the wall of the kitchen and other rooms inside the home.
No one was injured. Police don't yet know yet if the incident is gang-related, Johnson said.

Interesting fact; Deputy Police Chief Dan Davis owned or may currently own a rental property at 1108 W. Wall st. I rented from him for a year. Good guy, bad location!
