Minor damage in Evansville barn fire
EVANSVILLE Fast action on the part of Evansville firefighters saved a barn early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to a fire at 16326 West County Highway "C" West of Evansville around 4:30. The first units on the scene reported flames coming from inside the barn, but firefighters had the blaze knocked down before five o'clock.
The preliminary cause of the fire is listed as an electrical malfunction. No damage amount is reported however the structure, and the hay stored inside, was saved and damage is minor.
Evansville firefighters were assisted by units from Brooklyn, Stoughton, and Oregon.
