— Beloit city officials are getting ready to for a second round of discussions concerning possible physical changes to the police department.

City Manager, Larry Arft, says the space needs analysis for the police station is already on the table and Janesville consultant, Angus Young and Associates, is ready with the second phase of the study, possible solutions.

Arft says he expects to hold initial discussions with the consultant this week and will schedule a city council workshop session this spring.

He says there are three basic options. One is to reconfigure space at city hall or expand the area of the police department, move into space at the Eclipse Center, or build new on one of several green-field sites owned by the city.
