Hardy sent to Beloit for rehab assignment

The Minnesota Twins have assigned shortstop J.J. Hardy to a rehabilitation assignment at Beloit.

Hardy, a former Brewer, is tentatively scheduled to play today against the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Thursday and Friday against the Quad Cities River Bandits. All three games start at 7 p.m.

A fan favorite in Milwaukee from 2005-2009, Hardy is playing his first season in the Twin Cities after a November trade. He has only appeared in 37 games for the Twins because of a wrist injury.

Tickets can be purchased through the Snappers box office at (608) 362-2272 or on the web at www.snappersbaseball.com. Tickets can be purchased at Pohlman Field from 9 a.m. until the end of the game.
