— Joe Shere pitched a complete-game two-hitter and struck out 12 to lead the Milton Junction Pub Raptors to a 2-0 Rock River League baseball victory over Farmington on Sunday.

The Raptors (5-6) scored one run in the third inning and another in the seventh.

In the third, Josh Shere singled to drive in Francisco Roque.

Matt Fredricks, who led off the seventh with a single, scored on a hit by Jon Kas for Milton’s second run.

“Joe (Shere) pitched very well,” said Raptors manager Doug Welch. “He kept the ball down and away, and he had a lot of strikeouts. And we hit the ball just enough to win.”

The Raptors return to action Sunday against the Madison Senators at 1 p.m. at Schilberg Park in Milton.
