Car hits boy, 6, in Edgerton

— A 6-year-old boy was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries Thursday morning after he was struck by a car while riding his bike on the city’s north side, officials said.

Police have not identified the boy, and a full report on the incident was unavailable Thursday, police said.

The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. today near the intersection of North Main Street and Ladd Lane, Edgerton Police Department said. Edgerton Police Department and Edgerton Fire District responded to the accident shortly after 7:40 a.m., scanner traffic said.

The boy was transported to Edgerton Hospital, where he was stabilized, officials said. He was then flown by MedFlight to UW-Madison Hospital, Edgerton Fire District reported. The boy’s status was unavailable.
