Monday's storm devastates crops in northern Rock County.

A survey of fields from west of Edgerton to east of Milton reveals extensive crop damage. UW-Extension Crops and Soils Agent Jim Stute was tallying up the acres Wednesday. He says they total in the thousands, with entire fields of corn, soybeans, and wheat affected. Partial recovery of some fields is possible. Hail was reported in excess of an inch, and winds topped 60-miles an hour during Monday's storms.

Stute will be reporting his findings to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
