Hicks drives in All-Star run

Beloit’s Aaron Hicks drove in one of the West’s two runs, but the East prevailed in the Midwest League All-Star Game, 6-2, at Fort Wayne, Ind., on Tuesday.


Hicks, who hit .256 with five homers and 22 RBIs in the first half of the season, had a RBI double.


Snapper third baseman Anderson Hidalgo went 0-for-2.


Beloit pitcher Kane Holbrooks pitched 2/3 of an inning, retiring both batters he faced.
