The Milton Junction Pub Raptors found runs hard to come by in a pair of Rock River League games this weekend.

The Raptors lost to unbeaten Madison Laurel Tavern,

2-1, on Saturday, and fell by the same score at home Sunday to Lebanon.

Milton (4-6) got outstanding pitching in both games, but couldn’t come up with enough clutch hits.

“Laurel Tavern is undefeated (9-0), and we played them very well,” Milton coach Doug Welch said. “We just couldn’t come up with the big hit when we needed it.

“Lebanon we had beaten

7-0 earlier in the season, but today, we just left too many men on base.”

Joe Shere struck out 11 but suffered the loss against Laurel Tavern.

Andy DeLaGarza made his first start of the season for the Raptors on Sunday. He struck eight and walked only one in suffering the loss.

Milton hosts Farmington on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Schilberg Park.
