WCLO's Steve Benton reports on a special meeting for Rock County Ag leaders and decision makers on the local, county, state, and federal levels

RSS

— Rock County Farm Bureau President, Doug Rebout, wants better communications with decision makers on the local, county, state, and federal levels.

He's asking legislators and city, town, and county officials to meet with local Ag leaders on June 30th for what he is calling a "Focus on Agriculture."

Rebout says there are a variety of issues ranging from business and employment to transportation.

The event will kick off with a tour of the Rebout farm on Mineral Point Road. There will be a number of presentations and then a question and answer session.

Rebout says this meeting is very important because agriculture has a $1 billion impact on Rock County and provides more than 8,500 jobs in the county each year.
