A Janesville man accused of murder will next appear in court July 2nd.

Forty-four-year-old James Humphrey is scheduled for a preliminary hearing that day. He appeared in Rock County court Wednesday. Humphrey is accused of shooting 30-year-old Sam Aegerter of Janesville after an argument Friday night. Witnesses say Aegerter was riding in a Jeep when Humphrey rode up on a motorcycle and exchanged words with him. Humphrey is accused of using a handgun to fatally shoot Aegerter while they were on the road near the Five Points intersection.

He is charged with first degree reckless homicide.
