— Walworth County Clerk of Circuit Court Sheila Reiff announced Monday she will seek another term in office.

Reiff of Elkhorn said her focus has been controlling costs and streamlining court processes in her office and throughout the circuit court system in Walworth County. She has been Walworth County’s clerk of circuit court since 1995.

Some of Reiff’s initiatives include implementing a digital audio recording system for the family court commissioners and coordinating with judges to save money in contracts for court-appointed attorneys. Combined, Reiff said, the initiatives save about $130,000 annually.

Reiff also was lead officer in local implementation of the Wisconsin Victim Information and Notification Everyday service. The service, which provides victims with 24/7 information about the whereabouts of perpetrators, will be up and running later this year.

Reiff is past treasurer of the Wisconsin Clerks of Circuit Court Association and has been a part of the National Association of Court Managers.
