Marijuana possession leads to two expulsions
-- A high school student accused of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver on school grounds.
-- A middle school student accused of possessing marijuana on schools grounds.
Both students are expelled through the end of summer school but could apply to return earlier.
To qualify for early reinstatement, the middle school student must undergo an alcohol/drug assessment, continue with counseling and comply with juvenile probation conditions if placed on probation.
The high school student would have to undergo an alcohol/drug assessment and comply with juvenile probation conditions if placed on probation.
This brings to 29 the number of students expelled this school year, compared with 33 at this time last year.
