Federal advice, to help displaced auto industry workers, may be on its way to Rock County.

Janesville's auto industry jobs are long gone, but many of the displaced workers remain and continue to struggle. Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board Director Bob Borremans says the White House Counsel on Auto Communities and Workers is planning a visit. Borremans calls it a real opportunity to speak with the federal officials who know what grants and programs are available to help local displaced workers.

The visit will include a tour of the Rock County Job Center, and an invitation only community forum at the UAW Hall.
