Janesvile trail survey
Podcast Episode
JANESVILLE The city of Janesville is conducting a survey, beginning June 5th, to collect information on how many people are using the trail system, how they're using it, and what additional amenities they'd like to see.
Intern Planner for the city, Colleen Hoesly, says about ten volunteers and some staff members will be conducting the face to face surveys at six locations including Palmer Park, Monterey Park, along the Peace Trail, East Milwaukee St., Wright Rd., and downtown.
Hoesly says she's heard of requests for better signage, additional restrooms and trash cans, and mile markers. The survey takers will be out from 8am to 2pm on the weekends, and from 7am to 9am, noon to 2 pm, and 5pm to 7pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Data will be used to gage the importance of potential upgrades and to show "need" when seeking funding and filling out grant applications.
