Raptors collect 14 singles in victory
The Raptors produced 14 singles to improve to their league record to 2-4.
Raptors’ starter Joe Shere
allowed one run on seven hits through the first seven innings for the victory. Shere got a double play ball with the bases loaded in the second inning to escape his biggest jam.
Milton took a 4-0 lead in the second inning on six hits. Francisco Roque hit a two-run single, while Jim Coulter and T.J. Klawitter each singled in a run to highlight the inning.
“We put some hits together and put pressure on the defense,” Raptors’ manager Doug Welch said. “That made the difference.’’
The Raptors travel to Neosho on Sunday.
