Janesville pools appear popular this summer.

City Aquatics Director Shelly Slapak says attendance is up about one-third over last year at Rockport Pool. She says attendance at the wading pools is about double last year.

She attributes the increase to hot and humid weather, as well as, a sluggish economy prompting many families to stay closer to home.

Today I took my boys to the pool for the first time. They had a blast until my son(who is 11)looked in his wallet and found all his money missing. Granted he should have never took it in the locker room but it was $4.35!!! Come on people. My son was heart broken and asked why people have to steal. How do I answer that. Good thing they left the Walmart gift card, it had way more on it!! I hate ignorance!!!
