Jets host final tryout camp

— The Janesville Jets will hold their final tryout camp this Thursday through Sunday at the Janesville Family Ice Skating Center.

The tryouts are open to the public, including a final all-star game where two teams of 20 players each will play from 10 to 11:30 Sunday morning. From those 40 players, 25 are selected for the Jets’ initial roster.

Food is served from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m on Friday and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Beer and merchandise is sold 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Practice starting times Thursday evening are 6, 7:15 and 8:30. Friday morning game times are 9 and 10:30. Friday’s games are at noon, 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday games start at 8 and 10:30 a.m., noon and 7 p.m.

All sessions are free to the public.
