— J.J. Hardy got his first hit in his rehabilitation stint with the Beloit Snappers on Thursday night, but it was not enough.

Frederick Parejo homered and drove in three runs to lead the Quad Cities River Bandits to a 5-1 win over the Snappers at Pohlman Field.

Hardy, the starting shortstop for the Minnesota Twins and a former Milwaukee Brewer, singled for one of Beloit’s nine hits.

The second game of the three-game series is tonight.
