Alana Cesarz scored a game-high 30 points to lead Delavan-Darien High to a 58-44 victory over Lake Geneva Badger in Southern Lakes Conference girls basketball Friday night.


The Comets (11-3, 6-2) led 30-19 at halftime. The Badgers pulled within 39-33 after three quarters, but they got no closer.


Anna Fronberry scored 17 points for Badger (3-11, 2-6).

? Union Grove 56, Elkhorn 45—Union Grove (12-2, 7-1) hit four three-points goals in jumping to a 19-5 lead in a Southern Lakes victory at Elkhorn.


The Broncos have five three-pointers in the first quarter, but Elkhorn (7-8, 3-5) rallied to within 22-16. That was as close as it got, and Union Grove led 33-20 at halftime as it gained its seventh straight victory and remained in a first-place tie with Waterford.


Haly Fink led all scorers with 13 points for the Broncos, and teammate Hannah Grindle added 10. The Elks were by Sarah Woellert’s 11 points and Allison White’s 10.

Stephanie Rank scored six of her game-high 12 points in the first quarter, as the Wolverines built an 11-0 lead. Jenny Carniveau added 11 points for Waterford.

Westosha bounced back from a 29-24 halftime deficit to gain a 50-50 tie in regulation.
