UW-Rock County women fall

— UW-Rock County faded in the second half and suffered a 65-57 loss to UW-Washington in Wisconsin Collegiate Conference women’s basketball Wednesday.

The Rattlers (4-14) led 27-26 after the first half, but could not build on the lead.

Brittany Hayes scored 14 of her game-high 24 points in the second half for Washington.

Nicole Skillman scored 20 points, while Ashley Oldenburg added 17 points and Tiffany Draeving chipped in 13 for the Rattlers.

The UW-Rock women will host the UW-Whitewater junior varsity at 7 p.m. Monday. The UW-Rock men will host UW-Barron on Saturday at 1 p.m.
