Eide’s 21 points lead Milton girls victory, other scores

Liz Eide scored 13 of her game-high 21 points in the second half Tuesday night as Milton High kept the heat on Monroe in Badger South girls basketball.


Milton built a 35-23 lead in the first half and went on to a 50-41 victory over visiting Stoughton, boosting the Red Hawks to 6-1 in the conference and 11-1 for the season.


The Vikings fell to 1-6 and


3-8.

-- Monroe 56, Edgewood 44—The Divison 2 top-ranked Cheesemakers shook off the pesky Madison Edgewood to reach 7-0 in the Badger South and 13-0 for the season.


Edgewood (8-5, 3-4) trailed 45-40 with three minutes remaining, but Kylee Ritschard made nine of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter to keep visiting Monroe in control.


Gwen Sutter scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half for Monroe. Ashley Hermanson added 14 points. Mackenzie Reese scored 20 points for Edgewood.
