— Janesville police are asking for help in locating Karin J. Wildman.

The 47-year-old Janesville woman was reported missing by her husband, Lawrence Wildman, around noon Sunday.

“She walked out without her purse, cell phone or wallet and didn’t drive off’’ when she left the couple's house at 114 N. Chatham St., said Sgt. Brian Vaughn.

Wildman was last seen around 10 a.m. Sunday wearing a long black coat with a hood and gloves. She is described as white female with brown hair and brown eyes, Vaughn said.

Wildman's name and photo have been displayed on Lamar Outdoor Advertising digital billboards throughout Janesville. The police department also has placed fliers, with her picture and description, at city bus depots and the YMCA, where she was a member, Vaughn said.

Wildman’s husband told police she had been acting confused lately, Vaughn said.

Police continue to investigate her disappearance, he said.

Yet Deputy Chief Danny Davis said foul play is not suspected at this time.

“We’re concerned about her welfare that she’s been out in the cold for so long,’’ Vaughn said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (608) 755-3100.

This article doesn't say much. Did they have a fight? Is she mentally okay?
