Jets break four-game losing streak
Ross Mauermann and the Janesville Jets snapped a four-game losing streak Friday.
Mauermann, a 2009 Janesville Parker graduate, scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Jets to a 5-2 win over the Albert Lea Thunder in the first game of the two-game NAHL series at Albert Lea, Minn.
The first-year Jets trailed 2-1 after the opening period but scored three times in the second to take control. Mauermann had two of the three goals, including an unassisted goal at 10:56 of the second that pushed the lead to 4-2.
Janesville (19-13) remained in third place in the NAHL North Division.
Matt Wichorek stopped 23 shots to pick up the win in goal.
