WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on efforts of Rock County's Veterans Service Office

RSS

The Rock County Veterans Service Office is expected to be a busy place in the coming days and weeks.

Veterans Services Officer John Solis suggests after returning soldiers embrace their loved ones and pet the dog, they should visit his office. He says it's important to explore available benefits before they are forgotten. Many citizen soldiers are returning to Rock County, with the Beloit members of the National Guard's 1158 Transportation Unit recently returning, and Janesville members of the 132nd Brigade support battalion due home Sunday.

Solis says soldiers are often surprised at how easy it is to apply for benefits.
