Rattlers run winning streak to five games

— UW-Rock County rolled to a 69-40 victory over visiting UW-Baraboo in Wisconsin Collegiate Conference men’s basketball Wednesday.

In posting their fifth straight victory, the Rattlers gained a 32-19 first-half lead. Baraboo cut the lead to 40-34 in the second half but could draw no closer.


Cole Hulbert, an Albany High School graduate, scored 18 points to pace the Rattlers, including making 5 of 7 three-point attempts. UW-Rock (11-6, 4-3) made 12 three pointers.


Fred Stewart posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Gabe Mitchell chipped in 12 points.


The UW-Rock men host UW-Marathon at 3 p.m. Saturday. The UW-Rock women host UW-Fond du Lac on Friday and UW-Marathon at 1 p.m. Saturday.
