WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on plans to swear in Beloit's new police chief

Beloit will have a new police chief Wednesday afternoon.

A swearing in ceremony is being planned for Acting Chief Norm Jacobs. Beloit Police and Fire Commission Chair Bob Harrer says Jacobs has many new plans for the department and will be a great chief. Harrer says Jacobs plans to tackle some developing issues including gangs and better communication with residents.

The swearing in ceremony is set for 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Vision Beloit Center.

Please just take good care of our officers, AND bring honor and order back to Beloit... it is a great city!
