Clinton rolls past Whitewater

Clinton High School pounded visiting Whitewater 20-6 in the third quarter en route to a 68-54 victory in a Rock Valley boys basketball crossover game Monday.


The Cougars (6-6, 4-4) had seven players score in the third quarter. Aaron Roth scored six of his 16 points to lead Clinton’s charge.


Tony Bilderback was held to a pair of free throws in the second half after scoring 13 points in the first half for Whitewater (5-7, 3-4).

n Williams Bay 76, Hustisford 66—Williams Bay won a slugfest over visiting Hustisford to remain undefeated in Trailways South boys basketball Monday.


The teams combined for a whopping 59 fouls and shot a combined 74 free throws, 37 apiece. The key is the Bulldogs (7-4, 4-0) sank 24 foul shots to the Falcons’ 14.


Williams Bay led 26-24 at the half, but hammered the Falcons 50-42 in the second half for the victory. The Bulldogs sank 15 of 24 free throws in the fourth quarter.


Matt Dreger scored 20 points, including 7 of 10 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter. Teammate Brian Lemke added 19 points.


E.J. Katzer scored 15 points for Hustisford (3-8, 2-2).
