— The Burlington Demons had the hot hand in sending visiting Janesville Parker High School to a 69-46 defeat in nonconference boys basketball Friday.

The Demons were on fire in the first half, making nine of 13 three-point attempts en route to a 43-17 lead.

“It was one of the best shooting exhibitions I’ve seen,” Parker coach Ryan Masterson. “It was lights out.’’

The Demons made just one three in the second half. Parker gained a 29-26 advantage in the second half, but the damage was done.

“We slowed them down,” Masterson said. “We did a better job in the second half.’’

Tyler Teubert scored a team-high 14 points for Parker and was the only Viking to reach double figures. Travis Crayton scored 16 points to lead Burlington (8-3).

The loss dropped Parker to 3-7.
