UW-Whitewater men get fifth WIAC win

— UW-Whitewater trounced visiting UW-River Falls, 70-57, Saturday to remain undefeated through five Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball games.

The Warhawks led 35-22 at halftime.


Dupree Fletcher scored a game-high 19 points to lead No. 4-ranked Whitewater (13-1, 5-0). Dustin Mitchell scored 16 points, Nolan Free had 15, and Mike Bendall added as the Warhawks dropped River Falls to 1-5 in the conference.


Whitewater hosts UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
