The visiting Janesville Bluebirds (8-4, 5-1) stopped Beloit Memorial, 4-3 in overtime, in Big Eight boys hockey Saturday night.

Cody Stettin scored the winning goal off and assist from Ron Lingren 35 seconds into the overtime.

“We won a corner battle and the puck went to Lingren at the blue line,” Janesville coach John Mauermann said. “He made a shot to the net and Cody intercepted it as their goalie went down, and Cody shot around the goalie into an open net.’’
