Paige Albi scored 33 points Thursday night in leading Sun Prairie High School’s girls basketball team to a 50-47 victory in a Big Eight game at Madison West.


The Cardinals (4-4, 3-3) built a 31-25 lead in the first three quarters and withstood the Regents’ 22-point final period.


Ashley Bartow backed up Albi with 11 points for Sun Prairie. Elyse Jackson led West (0-6, 0-5) with 15, and teammate Regina McClarn had 11, but both fouled out.
