— It was better late than never Thursday night for the Rock County Fury.

The high school co-op girls hockey team of Janesville Craig, Janesville Parker, Beloit Memorial, Beloit Turner and Clinton scored three goals in the third period to rally the Fury to a 3-2 win over Stoughton.

Maci Wiser scored twice for the Fury (6-4-3), including the game-winner at 13:58 of the third period.

“We didn’t get many shots off the first two periods, but then we moved Jordyn Tremain up to a forward with Wiser and (Haley) Bayreuther, and they really dominated,” Fury coach Darrel Moore said.

“It wasn’t our best hockey, but we played good enough to win.”

Bayreuther also scored for the Fury, while Tremain had two assists.

Rock County will host Appleton on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Janesville Ice Skating Center.
