Monroe High School went on a 15-0 run spanning part of the second and third quarters to pull away from Fort Atkinson, 43-27, Friday night and clinch the Badger South girls basketball title.


Senior forward Jamie Armstrong scored 15 points and senior forward Ashley Hermanson added 14 points to lead the Cheesemakers (20-1, 11-0).


Sophomore guard Marie Fitzgerald led Fort (5-16, 1-10) with nine points.
