— The Clinton School Board next week will interview three finalists to replace retiring Administrator Pam Kiefert.

According to a news release from the district, the finalists are:

-- Randy Refsland, district administrator for the Waupun Area School District. He has served in that position since 2008. Before that, Refsland was high school principal at Milton.

-- Jo-Ellen Fairbanks, supervisor of secondary curriculum for the Beloit School District. She has served in that position since 2007. Before that, she was director of instructional programs and professional development for CESA 9 in Tomahawk.

-- Marc Eckmann, who since July has been director of educational services for the Clinton School District. Before that, he was Clinton High School principal. Eckmann has worked for the district since 2006.

The district received about 15 applications for the position, school board President Randy Gracyalny said. Three teams of board members, district officials, students and staff members interviewed eight candidates, the news release states.

The school board will interview the three finalists Saturday, March 6. The goal is to have a new administrator in place April 1, Gracyalny said.

Kiefert in August 2007 replaced Becky Nodorft, who retired from the district after almost two decades as a principal and administrator.
