— An undefeated Racine high school basketball team has been forced to give up nearly half of its 21 wins this season.

Park High School’s varsity boys team has forfeited 10 victories following an internal investigation into players’ school attendance records.

Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association rules require teams to retroactively forfeit games in which players were found to have been ineligible on the date of the game.

The Journal Times reports the district’s athletic code requires players to have no unexcused absences during the week prior to a game.

All Park High School players are eligible to participate in the WIAA regional playoffs starting Tuesday, assuming they attend classes and comply with the code.
