Rock County has benefited heavily from Federal Recovery Act assistance according to the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families.

Spokesman Bob Jacobson says over the last year, these federal dollars totaled more than $4 million alone for the food share program, and $22 million in extended unemployment benefits.

The group claims this has helped keep the local economy afloat.
