BELOIT The city of Beloit is featured in a national magazine next month.
"This Old House" magazine has chosen Beloit to represent Wisconsin in their annual edition featuring older and historic homes. Beloit city manager, Larry Arft, says the Beloit Neighborhood Preservation Association submitted the city's name, and it was accepted for the March edition.
Arft says it's hard to say how this might benefit Beloit, but it could result in additional tourism or an interest in rehabilitating or investing in older homes.
The magazine should be available on news stands in in March.
