The Vikings (5-16, 2-15) gained a 16-12 advantage in the third quarter to trail 45-40. Parker kept within six in the early part of the fourth quarter, but the Spartans (17-4, 14-3) scored 13 points through the final five minutes to seal the victory.

The victory puts Memorial in a position to play Madison East for the conference co-championship Thursday at East.

“We played them pretty tough,” Parker coach Ryan Masterson said. “We were within six points with five minutes to go, then (Vander) Blue and (Junior) Lomomba took over.’’

Lomomba finished with 16 points, Blue added 14, Jamar Morris scored 13 and Tre Creamer chipped in 12 for the Spartans.

“We didn’t back down,” Masterson said. “But then they started playing above the rim and got the rebounds.’’
