Jets stop division leaders
The Janesville Jets got defensive Friday night.
Matt Wichorek made 34 saves, and the Jets got first-period goals from Wes Wauter and Mike Thompson en route to a 2-1 NAHL North Division win over the Marquette Rangers.
Janesville (23-18-3) held first-place Marquette (28-17-0) scoreless on the power play, as the Rangers were 0-for-6 on the night.
Janesville will play at Traverse City (Mich.) tonight in the first of a two-game series.
